A new article by Seamus O’Malley, “One of Those Stupendous Mornings of Human Thought”: Ford’s Cycles of Literary History, has just been published online in the journal Anglo Saxonica.
The article discusses Ford’s shift in perspective between his two works on literary history, The English Novel (1929) and The March of Literature (1938), and what this says about his views on Modernism.
The article is part of a series being published in Anglo Saxonica, based on papers presented at the symposium Ford Madox Ford: At the Dawn of an Era, held in Lisbon in November 2023.
