The Society Blog is for short articles (typically 500-1500 words) about Ford, his life or works, or related topics. They might be relevant to anybody with an interest in Ford and his circle, and do not have to be “academic”. Examples might include…
- Short items of new research or discoveries that are not long enough for a published article
- Articles about the methodologies and processes of research
- Articles about the people who featured in Ford’s life, or the places he visited or wrote about
- Summaries of conference papers given by Society members
- Summaries, reviews or teasers for new books or articles on Ford
- Any topic (or reworked versions or serialisations of existing articles) which can make the most of what can be done online, such as interactivity; sounds, video and images; or links to other information
- Birthdays or anniversaries of people or events in Ford’s life
- Ford’s lesser-known shorter works – poems, short stories, articles and letters – might also be good material for blog posts.
Longer articles may be more suitable for the Society’s Last Post journal.
